Independence Day evokes thoughts of patriotism, liberty, and courage, but these virtues are not exclusive to the American Revolution. As the world watches recent events in Iran we expose ten enemies of freedom.
Independence Day evokes thoughts of patriotism, liberty, and courage, but these virtues are not exclusive to the American Revolution. They can be found in cities like Prague and Budapest, in a square called Tiananmen, and at a crumbling wall in Berlin. The virtues of which I speak do not belong to one political party or candidate. They are as old as the scriptures from which comes the declaration etched upon the Liberty Bell, "Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof." As the world watches recent events in Iran we expose ten enemies of freedom:
1. Religious suppression.
2. Censorship of the press.
3. Excessive force on peaceful protestors.
4. Imprisonment for challenging the government.
5. Oppression on the basis of gender, class, or race.
6. Corruption and influence peddling.
7. Elections that lack genuine accountability
8. Violations of civil and human rights.
9. The silencing of a voice and a vote.
10. Apathy and fear.
The American colonists dared to believe in a day when oppression would end and the will of the people would reign. As citizens of the United States we must join with those brave individuals around the globe who call for freedom and liberty in their home countries. We must raise our voices in moral outrage each time one is imprisoned or killed simply because that person wants to be granted human rights. To do otherwise is to betray the devotion and sacrifice of those who made our freedom possible.

Posting of my experience from the MCDC
I am 46 years old. I served 16 years in the Army including 1 year in Iraq for OIF II; Mar 04-Mar 05. Having devoted so much of my life to the defense of this great country, it only seems right that I be involved in direct support of the defense along our Southern Border given the fact that our own gov’t won’t.
I have had two Korean wives over my life, having gone through all the required steps to bring them here legally. I know all too well the humiliation, difficulty and frustration in dealing with the immigration process.
But we are a nation of laws and principles. Fair play meant something when I was growing up. My parents taught me to wait my turn in line and that “line cutters” lacked character and integrity. They taught me the honor of waiting patiently for my turn.
Nowadays that doesn’t mean much. Lie, cheat or steal to get what you want. Cut in line on the freeway. Be rude and cut in line at the supermarket. Cut in line instead of being polite. Get away with what you can. This now includes cut in line to come to America.
I am not against immigration. I am against illegal immigration because of the fact that these people sit on the fringes getting all the benefits of being here with few bearing the burden of paying for it. They have no loyalty to this country or the citizens who made it what it is. Most just want to cut in line, get the benefits of being here and share that with their loved ones also here illegally or send money to the country they fled from where their family is located. The bottom line is everyone who wants to come here cannot. Just because your country is horrific does not mean you have a right to break into ours.
Finally, Theodore Roosevelt said it best:
"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.” Theodore Roosevelt 1907
The most important job I have as a parent is to insure that my kids HAVE a country to grow up and live in that believes and practices Freedom, Liberty and has Responsible Citizens.

A LITTLE GUN HISTORY
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own Government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:
List of 7 items:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent.
Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent.
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!
While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.
There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.
You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. .
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.
With guns, we are 'citizens'. Without them, we are 'subjects'.
During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!

So What is Important to You?

I am honored to represent the Constitution Party of Missouri today. I am a founding member of the party and I serve as State Secretary. I also was privileged to represent the Constitution Party as their 3rd Congressional District candidate for Congress in 2008.
I would like to mention a few things that distinguishes the Constitution Party from other parties. One, you will find our members greatest loyalty is to the Constitution rather than the party, and secondly, unique to our party is the fact that all thirty-nine planks of our platform are linked to an authorizing statement in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights or the Declaration confirming that our positions are constitutional. But perhaps the best way to clearly and quickly define our party is to share our mission statement with you.
The goal of the Constitution Party of Missouri is to promote and defend the great American principles of individual liberty and the return to constitutional government by means of educational and political activity, and through the election, at all levels of government, of Constitution Party candidates, who will uphold the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.
Promoting and defending the principles of individual liberty and returning to constitutional government is the driving force behind everything we do in the Constitution Party of Missouri. We are here today because this rally is centered around the 9th and 10th amendments to the Constitution - amendments, which embody the principle of state sovereignty. This principle of state sovereignty is rooted in the historical fact that the states created the national government and gave it few and defined powers, and those powers are clearly enumerated in Article 1, Sec 8 of the Constitution. That’s it, nineteen delegated powers from the states to the federal government. Anything else the national government does to interfere or intervene in state government is a direct violation of the Constitution.
Our party platform includes a plank on state sovereignty, and the sixth principle of the seven principle of the Constitution Party is State Sovereignty. I would like to read part of that plank to you.
The 10th Amendment states: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
The Constitution delegated few, enumerated powers to the Federal Government, reserving all remaining powers to the States and the people. Thus, powers of the Federal were the exception.
Our federal republic was created by joint action of the several states. It has been gradually perverted into a socialist machine for federal control in the domestic affairs of the states.
The federal government has no authority to mandate policies relating to state education, natural resources, transportation, private business, housing, and health care, ad infinitum.
We call upon the states to reclaim their legitimate role in federal affairs and legislation (See Amendment 10 United States Constitution) and thus cause the federal government to divest itself of operations not authorized by the Constitution and extract the federal government from such enterprises, whether or not they compete with private enterprise. The Constitution Party believes that state sovereignty is an important step in restoring the proper balance between state and federal governments.
I wish restoring proper roles of government was as simple as quoting amendments and party platform planks. However, we all know that it requires more than words to affect the necessary changes. Yet, if we expect to survive as a nation, we must return to the place, where the Constitution is honored once again by our elected officials as the supreme law of the land.
“How will that happen? What will it take?” Is a question that has been on my mind and heart for years and I’m sure on the hearts of many here today. And for the first time in years I am filled with hope that we may actually be seeing an answer to the questions. In fact, there is a part in the Declaration of Independence that eludes to the very nature of what I see happening,
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. — Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States.
This is the place we find ourselves today. We have had a history of repeated injuries and usurpations and the shenanigans of Wall Street bankers, the Federal Reserve, Congress and both Presidents Obama and Bush have heaped insult upon injury. Their outrageous behavior has brought thousands of people together in a way that no one could have planned.
Protests, tea parties and meet-up groups are gathering all across the nation, and when you made the decision to be here today, you also became part of this movement to reign in a rogue government.
And lest you think I am unduly harsh in using such a word to describe our government, let me define “rogue” for you. The dictionary defines rogue as “a dishonest and unprincipled person” and a second definition further states a rogue is “a person or thing that is defective or unpredictable. I have no trouble applying all of those adjectives to our government, for it has truly acted in a dishonest, unprincipled manner and has become defective and unpredictable in it’s efforts to solve the very problems it created at the expense of the taxpayers.
Furthermore, we know that rogues do not, without an outside force acting upon them, change their ways. That is what you have become today, an outside force being applied, when you say to your state legislator, “You know, I believe the Constitution of the United States limits the authority of the federal government, and I want you, my state government to get off the federal welfare rolls, and start acting as a sovereign state that does not exist by the good graces of Washington.”
And let me repeat, this is just a start. You cannot leave here today, thinking, “Well, I’ve done my duty! No, that won’t cut it.” This is just the beginning of a long, hard fight. Can you imagine where we would be today if the signers of the Declaration would have just signed and went home to take their ease?
The signers of the Declaration of Independence pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. If you think you can do any less, then you are not cut out for the battle. Yes, this battle is not to the faint of heart, but to those, as one of my favorite lines from the song America the Beautiful states, those “who more than self their country loved”. Battles are won by those who have that level of commitment.
What is your commitment level?
Will you commit to educating yourself in the ideas of liberty and the principles of constitutional government?
Will you then use that knowledge to hold your elected officials accountable to oath of office?
Will you be willing to replace those who violate the Constitution?
Will you be willing to even run for office yourself to assure a choice for candidates, who will obey the Constitution?
The Constitution Party is committed to restoring constitutional government that guarantees individual liberty to all. We are committed to make the necessary sacrifices to insure that our posterity will enjoy the blessing of liberty. We invite you to join us in this worthy and honorable cause.

This is the place we find ourselves today. We have had a history of repeated injuries and usurpations and the shenanigans of Wall Street bankers, the Federal Reserve, Congress and both Presidents Obama and Bush have heaped insult upon injury. Their outrageous behavior has brought thousands of people together in a way that no one could have planned.
Protests, tea parties and meet-up groups are gathering all across the nation, and when you made the decision to be here today, you also became part of this movement to reign in a rogue government.
And lest you think I am unduly harsh in using such a word to describe our government, let me define “rogue” for you. The dictionary defines rogue as “a dishonest and unprincipled person” and a second definition further states a rogue is “a person or thing that is defective or unpredictable. I have no trouble applying all of those adjectives to our government, for it has truly acted in a dishonest, unprincipled manner and has become defective and unpredictable in it’s efforts to solve the very problems it created at the expense of the taxpayers.
Furthermore, we know that rogues do not, without an outside force acting upon them, change their ways. That is what you have become today, an outside force being applied, when you say to your state legislator, “You know, I believe the Constitution of the United States limits the authority of the federal government, and I want you, my state government to get off the federal welfare rolls, and start acting as a sovereign state that does not exist by the good graces of Washington.”
And let me repeat, this is just a start. You cannot leave here today, thinking, “Well, I’ve done my duty! No, that won’t cut it.” This is just the beginning of a long, hard fight. Can you imagine where we would be today if the signers of the Declaration would have just signed and went home to take their ease?
The signers of the Declaration of Independence pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. If you think you can do any less, then you are not cut out for the battle. Yes, this battle is not to the faint of heart, but to those, as one of my favorite lines from the song America the Beautiful states, those “who more than self their country loved”. Battles are won by those who have that level of commitment.
What is your commitment level?
Will you commit to educating yourself in the ideas of liberty and the principles of constitutional government?
Will you then use that knowledge to hold your elected officials accountable to oath of office?
Will you be willing to replace those who violate the Constitution?
Will you be willing to even run for office yourself to assure a choice for candidates, who will obey the Constitution?

To prevent recipients for taking a job for a day (or hour) and then voting, a time limit such as x days or hours off welfare in the past year, and of course, not currently ON welfare/ Public assistance.
2) Since you can not support yourself or your family, Tax payers should not have to pay for your addiction or illegal activities. To that end if members of our military can take random observed urinalysis, we'll make it easier on you, and take a hair test. Hair being collected by the person approving your application, and randomly there after. Anyone caught cheating will immediately loose any and all privileges.
3) Since you are accepting government funds, you are expected to earn your funds. This can be in the form of volunteer or public service activities. Everything goes from babysitting other public assistance family children, to reporting to local government offices and doing work as assigned. This can also help local government budgets, as it can reduce office staff, such as janitorial, clerical, road crews, etc. Failure to do x number of hours per week means you're off the program.
4) Since you can not afford to support your existing family, you can not afford more. No more reward for popping out dependents. In any child is born 9 months AFTER your application for public assistance, ALL children in the family will be placed in the foster system, and or put up for adoption, AND you and your spouse will be removed from the program.
Now most politicians will hate this because it WILL remove a large portion of their political power, some will call it raciest and say it targets the poor, but they'll never admit it provides the motivation and tools to prevent multi-generation teat suckers, and actually help the people it was intended to help.

Why is Gov't Evil?

Did you ever stop to wonder why most governments – no matter where on earth you look, or what time period you consider – tend toward being dishonest, predatory and tyrannical?
Iraq was one big torture chamber before America and its coalition partners liberated it. North Korea is a national concentration camp, where every citizen is the slave of a demented little dictator named Kim Jong-il (who may or may not still be alive – hard to tell in such a fantastically closed society). Zimbabwe, once a major breadbasket for all of Africa, has sewers clogged with aborted babies, an inflation rate of over 11 million percent, and its average life expectancy has been cut almost in half, from 57 to only 34 years.
Yes, I know, these are some of the worst governments on earth. But a great many other nations are not much better. Burma and Sudan are ruled by brutal military dictatorships and mass slaughter and genocide are normal there. The vast Middle East is made up largely of Arab-Muslim police states, almost two dozen of them, where Islam's strict, medieval Shariah law reduces everyday life to one of repression, cruelty and paralyzing fear at best – and at worst, terrorism, "honor killings" and death by stoning for relatively minor offenses (and sometimes for no offense) – all sugar-coated with a stiflingly rigid and intolerant religious code.
China, with a quarter of the world's population – 1.3 billion souls – is still at core a ruthless and suffocating communist dictatorship, despite its massive economic growth. Russia has deteriorated dramatically in recent years; its judicial system is almost dysfunctional, there's virtually no freedom of the press, and international human rights organizations report widespread abuses, including systematic torture of people held by police.
We could continue on with our tour, but we'd just find that most other governments on this earth, from the Far East to Africa to South America, are corrupt, predatory and power-hungry. Each typically perfumes its tyranny with an idealistic, utopian philosophy like communism or Islamic fundamentalism to help control the population. Even Europe and the United Kingdom, once the crown of Western Civilization, are firmly in the grip of secular (de facto atheistic) socialism, which suffocates their once-vibrant Christian culture and seduces their citizens into giving up their hard-won freedoms, independence and wealth in exchange for "cradle-to-grave" security.
That brings us to America.
The United States of America has a transcendent heritage of liberty rooted in self-government and personal responsibility, the result of a revolutionary 200-year-old "experiment" so gloriously successful it became a shining light in an otherwise mostly dark world.
Yet, in recent decades, we too have been seduced. Many of us have been taught in our universities that the "self-evident truths" the founders relied upon are just outdated and dangerous myths. The press routinely portrays values the founders considered to be evil (high taxes, unrestrained federal power, permissive sexual morals) as good, and good as evil. Same with Hollywood, which once showcased pro-American and patriotic themes, but now glorifies sex, violence and total moral confusion.
With this constant cultural subversion in the background, no wonder millions of Americans have gradually been demoralized into depending on government to solve all of their problems, fueling today's uncontrolled, cancer-like growth in government.
Power-hungry demagogues have always used basically the same methods: They demonize "the rich," implying they obtained their wealth by exploiting and stealing from the downtrodden; they stir up racial or tribal hatreds at every opportunity; they blame convenient scapegoats for problems they themselves have caused; and they promise universal peace and happiness if we'll just give them unlimited power over us.
But they win our support only by appealing to the basest part of us – anger, dissatisfaction, greed and especially envy. They know instinctively that if they can stir up and ignite these dark and addictive passions in all of us, they will seduce us away from our inner dependency on God, and instead create a massive voting bloc of people dependent upon them. The reward for this transference of fidelity is great power for them, and confusion, demoralization and ultimate bondage for us. In its purest form, this phenomenon is known today as Marxism, communism, socialism – the spiritual core of which is raw envy.
Communism, as we know, is atheistic – where the government is the only true god, the giver of blessings, the solver of problems.
